Offers and Value

How much will I get for my car?

Our cash offers usually start from around $200. The final amount depends on the year, make and model, the kilometres, whether the car runs, its damage and condition, its size and weight, and current metal prices for damaged or non running vehicles. We give you a final number once you share the details and a few photos.

Why don’t you list prices on your website?

Every vehicle is different, and metal prices change with the market. A fixed price list would be wrong for most cars, so we only give a final amount once we know your actual vehicle.

Is the offer free?

Yes. Getting an offer is free, and you are under no obligation to accept it.

How do I get an offer?

Call 236 245 1767 or fill in the form on our website. Share the year, make, model, kilometres and condition, and send a few clear photos of the outside, the inside and any damage.

Can the offer change at pickup?

Your offer is based on the photos and details you send. If the vehicle at pickup is different from what was shared, we explain the difference and adjust the offer to its real condition before anything is signed. You are always free to say no.

How can I get the best offer?

Send clear photos, describe any problems honestly and keep the vehicle complete. Leave the wheels, engine, battery and catalytic converter on the vehicle. A complete vehicle gets a better offer.

What vehicles do you buy?

We buy used cars that still run, damaged and accident cars, cars that will not start, trucks, SUVs, minivans and work vans. We also buy heavy vehicles and remove heavy items such as trailers, forklifts and containers.

Do you buy ICBC write offs?

Yes. If ICBC has declared your car a total loss and the vehicle is still in your name, you can sell it to us. We also buy vehicles with a salvage brand on the registration.

Do you buy cars that don’t run?

Yes. Dead engines, failed transmissions, overheating problems and cars that have been sitting for years are all welcome. You do not need to get the car running first.

Do you pick up small items like appliances?

No. We pick up cars, vehicles and heavy items only. We do not pick up small items such as small appliances.

Pickup

Where do you pick up?

We pick up in White Rock and South Surrey, about 10 km around our office at 1250 Blackwood St. If your vehicle is a little further away, call us. We often do pickups outside this area when it works for the customer.

How fast can you pick up my car?

Most pickups happen within 3 to 4 hours of accepting your offer. Timing depends on your distance from us and how busy the day is. You can also book a later time or another day.

Is pickup free?

For cars, trucks and heavy items, pickup is free most of the time. If your pickup needs anything special, we tell you before you agree to the offer.

Do you call before you arrive?

Yes. We call you before we leave for your address and again when we are close.

How long does the pickup take?

Most car pickups take less than half an hour once we arrive. Larger vehicles and heavy items can take a little longer, depending on what we are picking up.

Can you pick up from underground parking or a tight driveway?

Yes. We pick up from driveways, garages, back lanes, underground and apartment parking, and business lots. Tell us where the vehicle is parked and any height limits when you call.

Do I need to be there at pickup?

Yes. The registered owner, or a person with proper legal authority, needs to be there to show ID, sign the transfer form and receive payment.

Paperwork

What paperwork do I need to sell my car in BC?

You need photo ID, the vehicle registration signed by the registered owner, and a completed ICBC Transfer/Tax Form (APV9T). We fill in the transfer form with you at pickup. All four pages need original signatures.

What do I do with my licence plates?

Remove them before the vehicle leaves. In BC, plates belong to ICBC. Keep them for your next vehicle or return them to an Autoplan broker.

Do I need to cancel my Autoplan after selling?

Yes. Visit an Autoplan broker after the sale to cancel the coverage on the vehicle you sold, or to move it to another vehicle.

Can I sell a car that still has a loan on it?

No. The vehicle must be fully cleared before we can buy it. Pay off the loan first and make sure the lender has released its claim, then contact us.

Can I sell a car for a family member or an estate?

Yes, if you have proper legal authority to sell that vehicle. If you are not sure what you need, call us and we will explain before you book a pickup.

Can I sell a car if I lost the registration?

We need the registration to buy the vehicle. Ask an Autoplan broker how to get a replacement before you sell.
